Excavation problems

So....I thought instead of showing you my handsome self, I'd showcase some of my handiwork. The cement pad on the left of the picture is the sidewalk, leading to the stairs to the house. Below, that, the dark part, well, that part one of The Hole. Rusty and I have dedicated some time to this. For some reason, Carolyne and the Boss fill it in. Me and Rusty dig it out again. It's pretty nifty. It goes way under the deck, like a tunnel to nowhere. Carolyne has put rocks in there but we just dig around them. 

This is another part of The Hole. It connects to the one I'm in under the deck. Quite a feat of dog engineering I would say. Carolyne gets annoyed about this though.She said she and the Boss are going to do something about it. Not sure what, they've tried everything. (even mothballs but they don't bother me) So I' curious what the next step is. For now, it's a nice cool place to hang out when the temperature heats up.

I've been keeping you updated about Rusty's and my project.

The Hole. Something we were very proud of.

I also told you that Carolyne and The Boss said they were doing something about that and doing some landscaping at the same time. Well, this was the solution.

This is me sitting roughly where part of the original hole was. I didn't want to sit here but Carolyne made me.

They've paved paradise and put chairs on it. Seems a bit excessive if you ask me. They said they love it, but I'm pretty sure I've got a bone somewhere underneath that concrete. I might have to go looking for it.
